Royal Court Hotel – wedding venue in Coventry.

A hotel belongs to Britannia Hotels and is located on the Norths side of Coventry in West Midlands. The wedding venue is located 2 miles from the place where I based. As the wedding venue, it is an interesting place. there are some nice green areas where a wedding photographer may take their wedding couple for some photos but at the same time possibilities are limited and I am not a big fan of it. It means that all the photos from every single wedding will be similar. Inside the hotel isn’t much ambient light which doesn’t help in the creation of nice photos.

Anyway, I have decided to write an article about an unusual wedding day at the usual wedding venue in the West Midlands. Why the wedding day was so unusual? The first time in my carrier I’ve been asked to photograph a double wedding. 2 Brides and 2 grooms. Have you ever been to a wedding like this? I believe 95 out of 100 people would say NO. It was a challenge. It was something new for a wedding photographer from Coventry.

The double wedding. My wedding couples came from the South of the UK, so a day before we have arranged a meeting to have a chat about what will happen on the next day. To be honest we couldn’t prejudge what will happen and we were aware that will be big improvisation from my and their side. At the same time, we were a little bit excited. On the next morning, I have met my lovely brides at the hotel’s room during the preparation for the wedding day. It was an extremely busy room. many beautiful ladies, not to much space and a lot of work to do. Great work…And I have to add it was! The day went smooth and easy. We had a lot of fun playing with photos and guests. Those 10 hrs service at the wedding went quick and nice. As an advantage, I was very close to my home in Coventry. It gave me an opportunity for a quick download of all photos, quick selection, and quick selection of photo to a sample gallery which was ready on the next day.
